You won't find recipes for steak with salad or an amazing salad with turkey breast here. If you don't know how to cook a steak, you can go allrecipes.com or similar. They have 13,000 steak recipes. (Unbelievable, isn't it? I wonder if they're all different?) Also, I don't really find it helpful to copy recipes from somewhere and just leave out the potatoes.
I trust my readers' creativity, so most of the recipes I've shared here are specifically low-carb and should be a jumping-off point for you to develop your own low-carb kitchen. They are mainly about how to create satisfying low-carb versions of traditional foods like bread, and also how to satisfy your sweet tooth on a low-carb diet. In addition, we've tried to include tips for dealing with special low-carb ingredients like almond flour or gluten.
Peter + Peter Bean Stew

Doch was dazu?
Pancakes II

For the last 18 months I've had the honor of standing at the stove every Sunday and making pancakes (or at least that's how my wife describes it), so I've come up with a few ideas for experimenting with pancakes. If you leave the milk out of your batter, adding a little more cream and some sparkling water instead, the pancakes will be much fluffier because cooking releases bubbles of carbon dioxide into the batter. This also gets rid of some extra carbs. Approx. 10 pancakes 50…
Pancakes I

A change in eating habits will only work if you develop traditions. Ours is to make pancakes on Sunday mornings. And not having to worry about the calories in pancakes is great. Totally delicious! This recipe will feed four people (generously). Every Sunday we make this amount for the two of us, and then eat the rest for breakfast until Thursday or Friday. The basic ingredients for the pancakes are 3 eggs, 200 ml_(1 cup) (1 cup) whipping cream, and 300 ml_(1 1/2cup) (1 1/2 Cup) milk (we often…
Pan-Fried Mushrooms

The best-tasting autumn dish is pan-fried mushrooms that you've gathered from the woods. For your own safety, make sure you can identify your mushrooms first! Or else bring a friend who knows them. You can learn a lot from them and it's more fun, not to mention tasty and very low-carb. Mushrooms contain almost no carbs and are very satisfying! First, of course, you need to have good luck finding them! Last Saturday we did have good luck, and our mushroom hunt had impressive results: five…
Noodles

To serve 4: 50 g_(2 oz)almond flour 75 g_(3 oz)gluten 75 g_(3 oz)soy flour 2eggs 2 tbspolive oil 3 tbspwater 1 dspsalt Nutmeg, chili Noodles are quick and easy to make. The flour should be sifted very finely. We don't use wheat flour, but - as always in our low-carb cooking - gluten and almond flour. Then we add the eggs, oil, salt, spices, and water, and knead to form a smooth dough. The real challenge of making noodles is the noodle shape. For beginners, I would recommend making…
